Technology is one of the few things that is changing every single day. Every industry relies on technology. This makes it very important for more students to take up engineering. The progress of a nation largely depends on its technological advancement and having a good infrastructure to be able to develop its technology better.
The economy of a nation is boosted by using technology, which makes it extremely important for there to be a team of competent engineers to be on hand. All of these things make engineering one of the most important departments in any university.
Dr C.V Raman University recognizes this importance which is why they established one of the best engineering colleges in India.

About the Faculty of Engineering

The campus at C.V Raman University, Bihar is designed by professionals, which means that the infrastructure is state of the art. The university has facilities like a hostel and cafeteria for all the students. The cafeteria serves nutritious food at mealtime. Apart from these facilities, the university also has a recreational centre and a sports complex, for students who want to take part in extracurricular activities.
The faculty members at the university are very experienced and qualified, and they can deal with every challenge they face in the classroom. This includes having the ability to teach students who have different learning styles. Since students from all types of different backgrounds enroll into the university, it is very important for the faculty to be able to cater to those different needs.
The professors use a variety of teaching methods, like classroom lectures and presentations. More modern approaches like smart classes and e-learning are used as well. The curriculum also includes events like workshops and guest lectures. These guest lectures give students the opportunity to interact with professionals who have worked in the same field for a long time.

Here are the different streams of engineering that students can choose from :

1. Computer Science Engineering (CSE): CSE is a combination of computer science and computer engineering. It focuses on computer programming and networking. It includes computation, algorithms and programming languages. It also includes designing computer hardware and software. The course is used for many aspects of engineering, including the design of microprocessors, PC, circuit designing and software development. Some of the courses offered by the department include; Polytechnic Diploma and B.Tech.

2. Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE): ECE involves the design, research and development of various equipment used in broadcasting and communication. It deals with microprocessors, analogue, transmissions, communication, basic electronics and wave progression. It also includes the manufacturing of electronic devices, circuits and communication equipment.

3. Civil Engineering: This is one of the oldest engineering courses offered by the university. It involves planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and supervising infrastructures like bridges, tunnels, buildings and highways. Buildings like airports also come under this stream of engineering. The department offers courses like Polytechnic Diploma and B.Tech.

4. Mechanical Engineering: Also one of the oldest subjects of engineering, Mechanical Engineering deals with the design and manufacture of machines. The course focuses on a heavy knowledge of how machines work and how to design them. These machines include aircraft, automobiles, electric motors and heavy vehicles. Some courses offered by the department include Polytechnic Diploma and B.Tech.

5. Electrical Engineering: It deals with important applications of electronics like electromagnetism. After doing this course, engineers know how to and are part of designing electrical circuits and equipment that can be used in huge power plants. The course teaches a student designing, manufacturing and operating power plants. The study of all kinds of engines is included within the courses. Some of the courses offered under this stream include Polytechnic Diploma and B.Tech.
