Programme Overview

The department offers BA (Bachelor of Arts) in various areas of knowledge, viz., English Literature, Sociology, History, Political Science, Economics, Hindi and Social Work. BA (Bachelor of Arts) programme aligned with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 that provides knowledge, skills, and experiential learning Through this programme, students can think critically, and they can also think about new ideas, human beings, society, and culture. The BA (Bachelor of Arts) programme is based on the''Teaching Hospital Model’ that bridges academia and industry collaborations. Hence, the department conducts various field projects, case studies, training, and industrial visits to offer the students real-life exposure and experience. The department also invites various guest lecturers and provides the students with chances to interact with experts during seminars and conferences that are organised at national and international levels. All the activities organised by the department are directed towards the overall growth of the students.

Ability Enhancement Course (AEC): This courses are designed to help students enhance their skill in communication, language and personality development

Skill Enhancement Skill ( SEC): SEC courses are value-based/skill-based and may also be designed to enhance skills of the Major subject. They are aimed to provide hands-on-training competences, skills etc.

Discipline Specific Elective (DSE) : Elective courses offered from the main discipline/subject of study are referred to as Discipline Specific Elective.

Dissertation/Project/Internship: A Project/ Dissertation/Internship work would be of credits. The students will do this work under the guidance of faculty members.
